Keeping a Clean Mentality
With the world on edge, it can be hard to maintain a strong mentality. Mental health has decreased tremendously over the course of the pandemic. Many people have lost loved ones, their homes, jobs, and many other tragic events that have occurred since March 2020. The future is officially unpredictable. Helen Lee Schifter, a wellness professional, has kept a clean mind by use of mediation. This practice goes back thousands of years and is used to relieve stress and anxiety.
For many people, stress can take over a healthy mindset. Overthinking happens to everyone, no matter the age, no matter the topic. That is part of human psychology and unfortunately, evolution doesn’t seem to be doing a great job of getting rid of such a burden. By meditating, the mind can clear any negative thoughts it may have. By letting go of bad energy via humming or chanting, the body can finally begin to relax. Often being able to calm your mind can become easier by understanding the process of spiritual growth. There are so many options for those who want to cleanse their mind of evils and passive outlooks. In addition to meditation, there is also journaling. By journaling and writing down thoughts they can be released, in a sense from our system. A lot of authors, like Jane Austen, used writing as a way to stand up for her beliefs. In the 1800s, women had limited rights and by publishing world-renowned novels, her voice was heard by millions. So many other authors do that and finally, their perspectives are taken into account. By writing down or journaling thoughts can help people relate to one another which is a beautiful thing. Helen Lee Schifter emphasizes that just because one journal, doesn’t mean those thoughts have to be shared. Sometimes, keeping a journal that only you can see is more helpful than sharing worries out loud. Overall, there are so many ways to keep the mind clean of negativity.
