L’Oreal Paris And Melanoma Research Alliance Team Up For "It’s THAT Worth It" Campaign

Loreal Paris and Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA) have combined forces to launch a new social-media and fundraising campaign to promote sun safety and skin cancer awareness. The It’s THAT Worth It To Me is encouraging women to donate 15 seconds on social media to share why SPF protection is worth it to protect your skin and health.  You can participate by uploading a 15 second video on any social media outlet explaining what you use and why it’s important, hashtag #ItsTHATWorthIt, and tag 3 friends in your post.  For every social media share, Loreal Paris will donate $1 to the MRA, up to 250,000! This will be happening from now until September 7th, 2015. Along with social media donations, $1 from select Loreal Paris products will also be donated to the MRA. Some of these products include: Loreal Paris Advanced Suncare Silky BB Face Lotion SPF 50+, Loreal Paris Sublime Bronze Self Tanning Serum, and Loreal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renewal Day Cream SPF 15.

The MRA formed in 2007 with the generous support of Debra and Leon Black. With such strong backing of the MRA founders, 100% of every dollar raised goes directly towards the melanoma research program. They are blazing a trail on scientific discovery and bringing awareness to the public. With a three year campaign commitment, as well as an astounding $750,000 research grant donation from global leading beauty brand L’Oreal Paris, the duo is set up for great future success in education the public on sun safety, skin cancer, and driving scientific discovery in this field!

In 2008, I launched AskMissA.com which grew from my personal blog into a site with 700 writers, covering the intersection of charity & lifestyle in 20 U.S. cities. With Charity + Life, I am going back to a personal blog where I can share my favorite things, and continue to shine a light on nonprofits, and cause marketing campaigns to inspire others to give as they live.
