Patricia Darquea is the incredible female entrepreneur and inventor behind the famed SHADYFACE products which are the world’s first and only sunshade product with a “patent swivel” that allows people to control the amount of shade they desire.
The product has been helping people enjoy the sun (whether at a hotel pool, on a boat, hiking or on the beach) while staying safe from the harmful sunshine rays, and has expanded from just originally being in America to now Australia, Canada, New Zealand and other parts of the world.
What’s more is that Patricia is all about charity and helping animals too! She has used ShadyFace’s success to crate another product called ShadyPAWS, which is designed for dogs, cats and other pets to use to stay cool on hot summer days, as it’s important to not over-expose any animal to that much heat/sun.
Furthermore, Patricia has been working with Ronald McDonald House Charities and various celebs in Hollywood to give back through her products to give comfort and care to children and their families.
She is also a proud sponsor and supporter of the Synchronized Swimming Athletes with Disabilities Organization, which her company gives back a portion of sales to help support.

Why is giving back important to you? You’re either born with generosity or not.  Most people forget that material items will out live you, therefore never take anything for granted and appreciate the simple things in life.

How has giving back helped you?
It’s just a positive feeling inside to assist others in need.  Whether it’s rescuing animals, spending time with the elderly in retirement homes or making dinner for those in need …Always give because you can!
How do you incorporate giving back into your life?
“Karma” plays a large role in who I am today…. ” Treat others the way you wish to be treated”. My parents raised me to believe that “one should give without expecting anything in return”.
Which charities are near and dear to you and why? There are two types of charities I am extremely passionate about.  Animal Rescues and Children who are stricken with illnesses.  Animals and children are the innocent ones. They are too helpless to fend for themselves, therefore it takes a strong voice to speak for them so they can be heard.

With Charity + Life, I am going back to a personal blog where I can share my favorite things, and continue to shine a light on nonprofits, and cause marketing campaigns to inspire others to give as they live.
