As you may know, it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but let’s not forget about all other forms of cancer that many women and men may be facing everyday. While health and wellness is always top priority, beauty and self esteem can get overlooked.
IT Cosmetics has partnered with the Look Good Feel Better program to develop a collection of high quality brushes for Ulta called Live Beauty Fully. For every brush bought in this collection, a brush will be donated to the LGFB to enhance the confidence of women facing the effects of cancer. IT Cosmetics is well known for their raved about “bye bye under eye” concealer and the ever popular “your skin but better” cc cream, along with using the latest advanced anti aging technologies in their cosmetics and skin care.
For 25 years, the Look Good Feel Better program has been taking care of the self esteem and well being of individuals dealing with cancer. The mission is to create an environment that is less medical, and more emotional by teaching beauty tips and tricks while dealing with the appearance-related side effects of cancer. Not only do they cater to all of our beautiful women out there, but they also have a grooming section for men and teenagers as well. Videos, step-by-step guides, and information about in person consultations can all be found on their website for you or your loved ones convenience.

As a makeup artist myself, nothing makes me happier than beauty and charity coming together in a such a realistic way. Using the right tools in your day to day beauty routine can create a flawless complexion, and what’s better than being able to treat yourself to a new brush AND treat someone else in need? This isn’t the only way to help though. You can find ways to volunteer here, or simply introduce LGFB to family and friends.

In 2008, I launched AskMissA.com which grew from my personal blog into a site with 700 writers, covering the intersection of charity & lifestyle in 20 U.S. cities. With Charity + Life, I am going back to a personal blog where I can share my favorite things, and continue to shine a light on nonprofits, and cause marketing campaigns to inspire others to give as they live.
