After 22 years as a co-owner of the Sambuca group of restaurants, Holly Forsythe has chosen to depart the company to pursue new entrepreneurial projects. Known for its eclectic, Euro-style dinner club atmosphere with live music nightly, Holly and her brother, Kim Forsythe, successfully developed and grew the Sambuca concept with locations in Uptown Dallas, Plano, Houston and Nashville. Sambuca Uptown is located across from the Ritz Carlton Hotel, while Sambuca 360 is in West Plano’s popular Shops of Legacy, both feature live entertainment and late night dinner and cocktails.
“I have a deep passion for restaurant development and brand building. My goal is to look for new projects in the hospitality industry and beyond that will utilize my strengths in those areas. The time was right for me to depart Sambuca so I can embark on the next phase of my career,” Holly said about her departure. “The restaurants are successful and with Kim at the operational helm they will continue to thrive.”
“I thrive on the adrenaline of brand development and look forward to collaborating on new projects in the near future,” Holly also said. “Whether it is consulting, strategic networking, new concept creation or brand building, this transition is perfectly in line with my strengths and personal goals.”
With a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a marketing major along with a design degree from the noted Parsons School of Design in New York, Holly has been instrumental in the creation and development of the Sambuca brand. Holly’s responsibilities included real estate selection, interior design, architecture and construction phases of all the Sambuca locations, as well as handling the marketing, public relations and community relations activities for each location. Holly is and will continue to be active in the Dallas community via her many charitable associations and board positions with non-profits, including Operation Kindness, Paws in the City, Take Me Home Pet Rescue and LaunchAbility®. Holly has been recognized for her valuable service with multiple awards including the DIFFA Community Hero award, the Texas Animal Humanitarian award from the Texas Humane Legislation Network and the St. Francis of Assisi award from Paws in the City.

In 2008, I launched AskMissA.com which grew from my personal blog into a site with 700 writers, covering the intersection of charity & lifestyle in 20 U.S. cities. With Charity + Life, I am going back to a personal blog where I can share my favorite things, and continue to shine a light on nonprofits, and cause marketing campaigns to inspire others to give as they live.
