Junior League Of Washington Celebrates Its 100 Year History With A Centennial Fête
What do Laura Bush, The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Bright Beginnings Child Development Center and Sprinkles Cupcakes have in common? They have all partnered with the Junior League of Washington (JLW), now celebrating its Centennial year, in its efforts to improve the DC community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The JLW will be toasting, dining and dancing the night away on Saturday, February 9th at the National Building Museum and hopes you will join them the celebrate 100 years of service and dedication to the D.C. community.
The JLW’s Centennial Fête will feature a private cocktail reception, celebrity chefs and mixologists, plated dinner, a live auction, and a special program showcasing the JLW’s impact in the community over the past 100 years. The celebrations will then continue with Après Fête, where guests will enjoy cocktails, desserts and dancing. Proceeds from this black tie affair will benefit the JLW’s Centennial project to distribute 100,000 age-appropriate books to DC children aged 0 – 5th grade in Wards 1, 5, 7 and 8 — JLW Resolution Read.
JLW members tend to be some of the best dressed and hardest working ladies in the District and Fête and Apres Fête are certainly not-to-be-missed events for anyone who enjoys a good night on the town or wants to support efforts to foster a passion for books and reading in the most needy DC children.
Fête tickets are available at multiple price points and all include a ticket to Après Fête. For more information and to purchase tickets to Fête, visit the JLW website by February 1st.
