Chic CEO Hosts NYC Savvy Event To Benefit Accion

On Wednesday, June 13th, Chic CEO will be holding “NYC SAVVY’s Launch Party”.  NYC SAVVY, a monthly women’s networking mixer, is a fun, relaxed environment to meet up with entrepreneurs, “mom-prenuers”, CEOs, savvy business women and other entrepreneurial-minded ladies who are interested in sharing ideas, learning, teaching and helping one another! Sip on cocktails and tasty appetizers on top of the new Sanctuary Hotel’s Rooftop Lounge, “Haven”.  Guest will get a sneak peek at this grogeous new venue prior to it’s grand opening!  Perfect for an after-work cocktail or a working girl’s night out, this event is not to be missed.  This year’s sponsors include Agent-cy, UpLift Studios, Rent the Runway, Mary Kay, PopCorners, Stella & Dot, Advocare, She Summit, Plush Fashion Styling, and City Slips. Don’t forget to grab your swag bag before you leave!

A portion of the proceeds of NYC SAVVY events will go to Accion, a private, non-profit organization with the mission of providing access to capital for aspiring female entrepreneurs. Accion’s vision is to “build a financially inclusive world with access to economic opportunity for all—one in which every individual can seize the opportunity to access a full range of high-quality, affordable financial services”. Through access, each person they serve can capitalize on his or her own capability and drive to achieve real economic gains—and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

In 2008, I launched AskMissA.com which grew from my personal blog into a site with 700 writers, covering the intersection of charity & lifestyle in 20 U.S. cities. With Charity + Life, I am going back to a personal blog where I can share my favorite things, and continue to shine a light on nonprofits, and cause marketing campaigns to inspire others to give as they live.
