My Bougie Baby Treats Homeless Women at UCAP’s Shepherd’s Cove To Makeover

Share

Wendy Pittman, Founder of My Bougie Baby and daughter, Tiffani Rae treated the homeless women of United Communities Against Poverty’s Shepherd’s Cove shelter to a makeover in preparation for attending the UCAP 9th Annual Awards Dinner & Silent Auction. Wendy brought 21 dresses and a glam squad to do hair and makeup for the ladies — Kelley Garret, Makeup Artist with Envy My Eyez Makeup Artistry and Charlene Brown, Master Celebrity Stylist with Sophizticated Ladyz Hair Salon. The Shepherd’s Cove residents were thrilled and so touched that someone actually cared about them, as many of them feel tossed aside by society. They enjoyed getting their photos taken by Phelan Marc who My Bougie Baby asked to photograph the makeover!

In 2008, I launched AskMissA.com which grew from my personal blog into a site with 700 writers, covering the intersection of charity & lifestyle in 20 U.S. cities. With Charity + Life, I am going back to a personal blog where I can share my favorite things, and continue to shine a light on nonprofits, and cause marketing campaigns to inspire others to give as they live.
