Review Of The Sonia Kashuk Breast Cancer Awareness Proudly Pink Brush Set

When my clients want to know how they can re-create the makeup look that I have given them at the salon, one of the first questions I ask them is, “What are you using at home to put on your makeup?” When I hear that they are using two dirty sponge tip applicators and the free brush that came with their blush, I give the same lecture; cheap (and dirty) brushes do not give you a beautiful makeup application – ever. I do not preach spending hundreds of dollars on makeup brushes. However, when it comes to makeup brushes, one gets what one pays for, so invest a little money in a decent makeup brush.

Last week a dear friend of mine gave me a gift. It was a Sonia Kashuk Breast Cancer Awareness Proudly Pink Brush set from Target. Her exact words were, “I’m sure you have better more expensive brushes, but these were so cute I had to get them for you.”
Sonia Kashuk Breast Cancer Awareness Proudly Pink Brush set is darling: white handle with a pink ribbon, pink bristles and a silver clutch to carry the travel-size brushes. The set, and my friend, were both so cute I had to try these pink brushes. To my surprise, I absolutely love two of the brushes! The angled eyeliner brush and the flat curved brush perform wonderfully.
The eyeliner brush has the perfect angle to make the application of gel eyeliner smooth and fluid. The flat curved brush is my new favorite for applying eye primer. It picks up just the right amount of primer and disperses it evenly onto the eyelid. As far  as the rest of the set, I would not use the other eye shadow brushes for applying shadow.  They would make good blending brushes. The largest brush in the set I would use only in a pinch; it is my least favorite.
Priced at $14.99, the Breast Cancer Awareness Proudly Pink Brush set is worth purchasing just for the angled eyeliner brush and the flat curved brush. The silver clutch would work for a fun night out. Target has delivered serious bang for the buck. The brush set is sold out at Target.com, so put running to Target at the top of your priority list and pick-up a brush set for yourself. I have to hand it to Sonia Kashuk, creator of the Breast Cancer Awareness Proudly Pink Brush set, for making a good set of inexpensive cosmetic brushes and say thank to my daring friend who purchased the set for me.
