GMA Advice Guru: Miss A Applies for Good Morning America Job
I already shared this with my Facebook friends, but wanted to let my readers know that I have thrown my hat in the ring for a full time, on-air position at “Good Morning America”. GMA is searching nationwide for a 21st Century Advice Guru to be the new “Dear Abby”. At midnight on October 15th, the submissions will be closed, and within a week approximately 10 finalists will be announced on ABC. Since this is for a real job, the finalists will submit an employment application, go through a formal interview process, and be subject to a satisfactory check of references and completion and review of any other hiring prerequisites, including but not limited to a criminal background check. Unlike a normal job, finalists will give on-camera video responses to questions, and there may be some online voting on who viewers favor.
Jim Murphy, Executive Producer of “GMA” told Huffington Post, “It would be just awesome if some fabulous high-school guidance counselor gets a break like this.” From the responses I’ve received via email and Facebook, it seems like my fans think it would be pretty fabulous if I were to get a break like this! Hopefully, they will take a look at the advice I have given, and give me a chance. Please post your thoughts and comments below! Stay tuned to Good Morning America!
