WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease and Katie Kalsi Handbags, Inc. have teamed to support women living with heart disease through a special promotional offer of the “I Love My Heart” clutch handbag. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for American women, and more than 41 million women are living with or at risk for heart disease.
“Katie’s handbags will serve as a visible and beautiful reminder of how important it is to support women living with heart disease. We are touched by Katie’s generosity and creativity in supporting the work of WomenHeart,” said Lisa M. Tate, CEO, WomenHeart.

The “I Love My Heart” clutch is available at www.katiekalsi.com for $125.00, with 25% of the purchase price going directly to WomenHeart to support education, advocacy, and support initiatives for women living with heart disease.

Katie Kalsi has a special understanding of the importance of a heart healthy lifestyle, as she has watched women in her own family fight heart disease and witness firsthand the damage it can do. As a result, Kalsi created the “I Love My Heart” clutch, a beautiful bag in black suede with red hearts and crystals. Kalsi feels it is important to be part of WomenHeart to honor women everywhere, to do her part to promote heart health, and to honor and remember those in her family who have succumbed to heart disease.

WomenHeart is the only national organization dedicated to promoting women’s heart health through advocacy, education and patient support.  As the leading voice dedicated solely to supporting the 41 million American women living with or at risk of heart disease, WomenHeart advocates equal access to quality care and provides information and resources to help women take charge of their heart health. In 2008, I launched AskMissA.com which grew from my personal blog into a site with 700 writers, covering the intersection of charity & lifestyle in 20 U.S. cities. With Charity + Life, I am going back to a personal blog where I can share my favorite things, and continue to shine a light on nonprofits, and cause marketing campaigns to inspire others to give as they live.
