No Longer “In-The-Know”

Share

Dear Miss A,

I recently moved from DC to Boston and was hoping you knew of a fellow blogger who can keep me informed of the latest charity events and hot-spots around here as your blog does for DC. I miss being in-the-know here!

Thanks,

Left My Heart In D.C.

Dear Left My Heart In D.C.,

Thank you so much for reaching out with this question. It would be great if there were a network of ladies “in-the-know”, so that you could move from city to city and feel like you weren’t missing a beat. I’m sure in the next few years something like this will be developed.

I thought I’d post your question on charityandlife.com, so that my Boston readers might see your question. I’m hoping they’ll post comments about some great Boston blogs that will put you back “in-the-know”.

Until we find a great Boston blogger, you should consider joining the Junior League of Boston, a professional organization related to your field, your college alumni organization in Boston, or volunteer your time with some Boston charities. This will help you meet new people, and find a new core group of girlfriends who can put you “in the know”.

I wish you the best! I know it’s hard being uprooted and having to start all over again.

– Miss A

In 2008, I launched AskMissA.com which grew from my personal blog into a site with 700 writers, covering the intersection of charity & lifestyle in 20 U.S. cities. With Charity + Life, I am going back to a personal blog where I can share my favorite things, and continue to shine a light on nonprofits, and cause marketing campaigns to inspire others to give as they live.
